"Purple Sand Beach" is a handmade one-of-a-kind gemstone & glass sterling silver necklace in the Seaspray Florals beachlove® Series by designer Kimberly Arpaia.
The necklace is named after Pfieffer Beach in Big Sur, California, more well known as Purple Sand Beach. Sand is mostly quartz. The pinkish-purple stretches along the north end of Pfieffer Beach are caused by concentrations of tiny garnet stones - similar in size to grains of sand - that wash down the constantly eroding wind-worn cliffs aligning the beach.
Adjustable 16-inch to 22-inch length necklace with swivel lobster clasp.
Materials:
° Antiqued 925 sterling silver.
° Natural tanzanite, multi-color spinel, and multi-color mother of pearl gemstone beads.
° Artisan-crafted shimmering purple and beige beach glass bead with draping blue glass flower. The entire bead is lined with a polished silver core. Polished silver beach caps adorn the bead ends.
